DAKAR, SENEGAL

The first pan-African event dedicated to exhibition, investment and aquaculture cooperation.
SIAq was created from the conviction that Africa needs a leading platform dedicated to aquaculture. By bringing together researchers, investors, producers, and public decision-makers, we aim to accelerate innovation, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to the development of a competitive, sustainable, and value-driven aquaculture sector across the continent.

President of Atlantic Mariculture
Senegal and West Africa possess exceptional aquaculture potential. SIAq represents a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration, showcase local expertise, encourage international partnerships, and promote innovative solutions that support sustainable aquaculture and enhance food security throughout the region.

Four questions, one sector to build.
Extractive fishing has reached its biological limits. 90% of the world's fish stocks are now fully exploited or overexploited. Aquaculture is no longer an alternative: it is a geostrategic necessity.
Fish accounts for 17% of animal protein consumed worldwide, particularly in West Africa. By 2030, humanity will need to produce 30 million additional tonnes of aquatic products. Africa has a key role to play.
RAS systems (recirculation), offshore cages, intensive tanks, aquaponics, artificial intelligence, marine genetics: the technologies exist. SIAq makes them accessible.
Spain, Norway, Vietnam, China, Egypt, Morocco: each model has its lessons. SIAq brings them into dialogue with African realities to build a pan-African pathway for aquaculture.
